Q Difference between the Sport and the Compete?
A The difference between the two shoes is that the Sport has a wide webbed structure with an internal metal spine, while the Compete has a thin webbed structure for better traction on turf and track with an internal spine. Both have the internal spine for maximum adjustment.
Q What ways can I modify the Compete?
A There are many ways you can modify the Compete. Creating break-over points on the toe or the sides, depending on what each horse needs.
Q Why should I use an open heel?
A You might want an open heel designed shoe for traction. The shoes is designed to create structure integrity unlike a traditional steal shoe which causes unnecessary pressure.
Q Why are there holes in the shoe? Are they for nails?
A The holes in the shoes allow the glue to adhere to the hoof wall better. In addition it allows any extra glue to escape when applying the shoe.
Q Can you add studs to the Compete?
A Yes, you can add Quick Studs to the compete.
